I was fortunate enough to find the owner of the shop present and his personal passion for wine effervesces as he shares his enthusiasm with customers. I find his authentic features refreshing - the selection is not the typical top ten - nay, this shop has assembled a unique collection that represents the untold stories of Portugal’s past present and future through the lense of wine meat and cheese.
Do not miss this authentic wonder!It’s one of those hidden gems of Lisbon. Enter Mercado de São Bento to find a bar with the best Portuguese cheeses and wines. Thomas is an experienced chef who will explain to you the world of charcuterie. Step in for wine and cheese tasting.
Affordable wines and good sushi / sashimi. We always come here when we're in the area. The ramen and the bratwurst shop makes it a great spot for dinner and drinks.

Friendly. Knowledgeable about all local wines. Fun, off beat stop for a glass or bottle at great prices.

We ended up staying for well over an hour chatting with the lovely owner, Thomas, about wine, music, local restaurants, and so much more. This place is a true gem where you can try wines you might not try otherwise, learn about various wine regions and methods of making wine, and get some terrific local advice. Highly recommend and look forward to returning soon.Came for wine, found a friend... a lovely place, Thomas knows his wines really well and guided me through the experience of finding my liking... would recommend for absolutely everyone!

You don't need to walk around all of Portugal to discover the best wines. Thomas (the owner of this place) will give you a fantastic trip around all the wine regions of Portugal. It's a fabulous journey, far from the mainstream, with many hidden gems. This place stays inside the Mercado de São Bento. Very easy to find. Sit at the counter and take a moment to chat with Thomas!
I pretty much returned to Lisbon because this place is so awesome. You'll discover the best wines and learn all about them, and you'll probably even make new friends while doing so.
Great nice wine & sushi small restaurant to enjoy! Definitely a must go if you’re nearby

Very friendly barkeeper, shows and helps you find out your vine taste! Fresh delicious sushi. I highly recommend to visit for the experience.
